Description

Plast, Ukrainian Youth Association, was founded in 1911-12 in Lviv, Ukraine on the model of the Boy Scouts established in Great Britain in 1907. World War II disrupted Plast’s activities, and Scouting was banned in Ukraine under the Soviet Union. However, after WWII Ukrainian Scouting was established in other countries settled by postwar Ukrainian refugees, at first in Germany and Austria, and, after 1948, in Canada, the USA, the United Kingdom, Australia, Argentina, and Brazil. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Plast renewed its activities in Ukraine where it became a national organization and established branches in all regions of Ukraine.

This scrapbook contains adult members of Plast as well as family photos and vacation photos in Europe and US (Florida).
